Music & Medicine ~ Mabon: Two-day Immersion with Charlotte Pulver

Join us for a weekend immersion at the Apothecary Gardens learning plant spirit connection practises and healing; alchemy and medicine making with Charlotte Pulver.

This will be a highly informative, transformational and joyous weekend!

DAY 1 ~ SAT 17TH SEPT
10AM-5PM

CONNECTING & HEALING WITH PLANTS:

This is a deeply restorative and healing day learning foundational practises of alchemy; of connecting and healing with plants.

You will go away with skills which will greatly enhance your life in all ways.

Morning session:

PLANT SPIRIT CONNECTION:

Learn the most important technique there is in making a medicine in life.

A technique which ensures that any medicine that you make is infused with the vitality and consciousness of the plant(s) that you are working with.

These are foundational practices which are at the heart of the ancient practice of Alchemy. Where you will be taught how to meet and commune with the consciousness of plants and how to facilitate healing for yourself and others when making medicine with the plant world.

These ancient yet very simple techniques can also be applied in communicating with any aspect of nature - be it the river, trees, rocks, stars and animals too.

Thereby helping facilitate a deeper embodiment and connection to the natural world and all of life.

Because we are all a part of nature, this session will help you awaken your natural birth right in communicating with the natural world whilst also accessing your own innate ancestral wisdom and knowledge.

Afternoon session:

HEALING WITH PLANTS, WATER & PRAYER:

In many ancient cultures, you will find practises which involve healing directly with plants, water and prayer altogether. In the creation of medicinal lustral waters which are given to provide healing for ones’ self, loved ones, clients and community in life.

Because these ways are cross-culturally such a natural expression in humans, one could say such healing ways are extremely innate in all of us in being human and in connection to the natural world.

On this day Charlotte will share with you the ‘plant spirit bathing ways’, in helping you re-remember a very natural, simple, yet extremely profound way of healing with plants.

Plants are collected for specific healing, combined with spring water, sunlight, prayer and intent together to form a - plant spirit bath.

These waters are deeply healing to give, hand in hand with the medicinal abundance and love from the land.

And very powerful and beautiful to receive. One often comes away feeling so deeply loved, supported and alive!

The plants and waters all look forward to receiving you all soon

DAY 2 ~ SUN 18TH SEPT
10AM-5PM

MEDICINE MAKING DAY:

This is a deeply informative and enlivening day in working with the wonderful plants at the Apothecary Gardens whilst utilising their wonderful lab space in making a hydrosol, tincture, oil infusion, tea, essence and incense!

PLANT SPIRIT WATERS: THE MAKING OF HYDROSOLS

Discover the world of Hydrosols, also known as hydrolats or ‘plant spirit waters’.

Hydrosols are distilled planted waters which contain a wealth of powerful plant compounds including microparticles of essential oils in these cellular waters.

In Alchemy hydrosols physically embody the plant's Spirit, it's intelligent animating life force.

They are complete plant water medicine, saturated with the plant’s essence infused in each molecule.

Distillation is an ancient art with evidence of it going back at least 5000 years. Widely practised in Eygptian, Greek, Roman, Chinese and Persian cultures and systems of medicine.

Taking the time to make a hydrosol is truly a magical, sensory and wonderful ritual experience.

This will be a master class in hydrosol making - witnessing the Apothecary Gardens’ 50L copper still in action, as well as how hydrosols are made with smaller stills from copper, to glass and even on your own kitchen stove.

You will also have the chance to make a tincture, oil infusion, tea, vibrational plant essence and incense too.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

  • Learn foundational alchemical knowledge in making your own physical medicines in life.

  • Go away with your own bottled hydrosol, tincture, infused oil, vibrational essence, tea and incense with knowledge of how to make them all.
